1. Algeria has a genuine culture, because the place doesn't have lots of tourists, so you can be closer to discover the actual culture of the place where you are.
2. In Algeria local people are very nice and hospitable. As you know, in any country where tourism is masive, local people have specific treatment for the tourists, with fluffy and funny things they prepare for them. So, in Algeria you will be in a direct contact with real local people which appreciate every single tourist that visit their country. Every single person in the street says "Hi" special in small towns. Also don't be impressed if a local will invite you for a dinner in his house, it's totally normal and is part of the culture.
3. In Algeria there are no scams. Maybe it's sounds incredible nowdays, but in Algeria there is no absolutely any scam. We all know, that usually when you go into a market in a place full of tourists, you may pay double or triple price just because you are tourist for that place, and also the change that you receive it can be less than should be, and you have to pay attention on it. In Algeria this doesn't happen.
4. Algeria it's a very safe country. Yes, yes it's safer even than neighbouring countries, and is considered the safest country in Africa now. In Algeria you will see police outside, and military personnel controling the city and maintaining the safety in the street. The country is perfectly safe at the moment, crime is extremly limited here, and if you do visit you will have a wonderful time discovering some incredible places and meeting some of the most friendly people.
5. Fuel is absurdly cheap. 35.33 dinars (31 U.S. cents) per litre, that's extremly cheap comparing to European countries or USA. So why do we consider it an advantage for tourists ?! Because Algeria is one of the largest country in the world, and if you want to discover more places the greatest way is to travel by car, as it's very cheap and just amazing.
